"Questions" Launched!

This is a new series that I've started through my youtube channel, aimed at creating awareness for this page and its facebook component. Although we're only a fanpage (and an unofficial one at that), we can have some fun talking about the Golden Era of Bodybuilding and building an even larger audience for Ric's Corner!.

Building a blog is a long process that involves consistency in posting and creativity. You need a reason to come here, and in time, you'll find that I've built a great home away from home for this great channel. Again, if you're reading this on the day it came out - Welcome! But more than likely, you'll see this post after we've released several dozen others -- it's just how the Blogosphere works.

Ric responds...

" HI Chris, back in the day, I prefered to have my steaks med rare as it didn't kill it by cooking. Raw eggs, No! They're extremely hard to digest. I know you see it in movies, etc but it's not the way to go. Cooked lightly is better. AS far as raw milk, I don't remember much about that. Maybe a few guys did but more than that they followed the Rheo Blair idea of drinking cream! Cream was fat and was used as energy in place of carbs. Plain and simple. We basically got our protein from meat and egss the majority of the time."

AfterBuzz, Ric's Corner, & More!

Just got word that the new AfterBuzzTv is out. Make sure to check that out. Right now, I'm largely writing to myself, as only Ric and myself know about this blogsite, but I'm confident that in time, many of your hardcore Drasin fans will poke around this page and stumble across this post.

I also dug up this really cool video of Bodybuilder/Celebrity Rich Piana. If you look back in the Ric's Corner archives you can find a great interview featuring this truly gifted athlete. What I like about guys like Ric and Rich is their modesty. They say the richest people on Earth are amongst the most modest and generous. It's flashy, pompous ones you have to watch out for - they usually don't have two nickles to rub together. Equally so, those that walk around the gym or everyday life - with a huge chip on their shoulders b/c they have 20" guns -- those are the guys that ruin it for everyone.

If we had more Ric Drasins and Rich Pianas - the mainstream would love our sport.

Video: "Middle Age Training & Fat."

Ric released a new video that's great for everyone in the 40-60 age range looking to get into shape and/or retain lean muscle mass. In this video, Ric discusses the danger posed by diets high in simple sugars and the detrimental effect they can have on men in the aforementioned age range.
